Care Groups

At Living Hope Churh, Care Groups are our way of connecting with one another in Bible study and fellowship.  We believe that these studies are an important part of getting connected with the church and a significant source of spiritual growth.
  • What is a care group?
A care group is a home fellowship made up of 8-16 people who meet weekly to study, to share, and to support one another in their Christian lives. A trained leader and a host couple lead each group. A normal meeting lasts for an hour and a half followed by light refreshments.

  • When and where do they meet?
Care groups meet on various nights of the week in homes throughout the valley.

  • How long do they last?
Each care group session lasts from 9 to 11 weeks. At the end of the session you will have the choice of staying in the same group, trying a new group, or even taking a break.

  • What is the required commitment?
Joining a care group requires a 9 to 11 week commitment to attend weekly and to do the homework ahead of time.

  • What will we study?
The studies are based on the previous week's sermon. Our care groups are designed to be a place where you roll up your sleeves and discuss how Sunday’s sermon works out in real life. Each week there will be a series of Bible passages and questions to study and complete before your meeting. The homework is included in the back of the sermon note sheet in Sunday’s bulletin. It will usually take about 30 minutes to complete the homework.

  • How important are care groups?
As our church continues to grow we believe that we must make care groups a significant part of our ministry. They are the place where the caring takes place as we seek to be a caring community celebrating Christ.
